Understand the basic rules of Blackjack
For those who are new to the game, this section walks you through everything step by step.
Card Values
Number cards (2–10) count at face value. J, Q, and K are each worth 10 points. An Ace can be counted as 1 or 11 — the player's choice.
Card ValuesGame Objective
Get your card total closer to 21 than the dealer without going over. Going over 21 is a "Bust" and means an instant loss. Landing Blackjack (Ace + a 10-point card) gives you the highest payout.
Game ObjectiveHow to Play
Both the player and the dealer receive 2 cards each. The player can choose to Hit (take another card), Stand (keep the current hand), Double Down (double the bet), or Split (split a pair into two hands).
How to PlayDouble Down
After receiving 2 cards, the player can place an additional bet equal to the original bet and receive only 1 more card. Useful when you have a strong hand.
StrategySplit
If you have 2 cards of equal value, you can split them and play two separate hands. A split requires an additional bet equal to the original bet.
StrategyInsurance
If the dealer's face-up card is an Ace, the player can take Insurance. If the dealer gets Blackjack, Insurance results in a push; if not, Insurance is lost.
